8 Days Sichuan Daocheng Yading and Yunnan Shangarila Overland Tour

Around 7:00am, leave Chengdu  for kangding. Today,we head westward , passing Ya'an city, driving through Mt. Erlangshan, and Kangding city, known as the hometown of love song. Kangding is the first jump stone to plateau for tourists who are travelling to Ganzi tibetan region or planning travel to Lhasa, capital of Tibetan Autonomous Region,get used to the altitude about 2,500m and get ready for the next day's driving on the high mountains. 

Today, we will drive across the Zheduo moutain which is over 4800m high and arrive at Xinduqiao town which is about 3600m above sea level. Then, will drive higher and higher towards Litang, on the way we will conquer several mountains which are all over 4000 meters, Mt.Gaoersi, mt.Jianziwan, Mt. Kazila etc. Visit the World High City-Litang. 
Litang is the town with strong nomadic features and strong atmosphere of traditional Tibetan life; strolling in the streets can give you time to see local lives, feel modern nomadic life, and compare to those ideas in your mind about Tibetans in this region. Afterwards, we will continue driving to Daocheng county and stay overnight there. 

After breakfast in the hotel, we will continue our trip to Yading nature reserve. On the way, passing through Riwa town known as the Shangrila in Sichuan, which is a Tibetan town with beautiful natural scenery and strong tibetan elements. Finally, we will arrive at the core scenic area-Yading village which is preserved as primitive as people can. 

Enjoy the amazing beauty of Yading nature reserve. First, take the  sightseeing bus from Yading village(Longlong Ba) to Luorong pasture to see the most famous three holy snow peaks  respectively knowns Mt. Yangmaiyong, Mt. Xiaruoduijie, and Mt. Xianairi. Then, we can either hike or take a horse riding(Extra Horse riding fee paid by yourself ) on the small path to the primitive forests to see the lakes hiding in the valley.At around 16:00pm, we'll get out of the valley, and drive back to Daocheng through Riwa town.

Departs at Daocheng early morning, pass Sangdui village to Xiangcheng along different plateau forest scenery and local tibetan villages. 

Walk to see the famous Jinsha River bend, then start driving to Deqin by pass White horse mountains.  Feilaisi is several km away from Deqin, it is the best place to see holy Mt.Meili. Mt. Meili is one of the most sacred mountains of Tibetan Buddhism. 'Kang Karpo Peak' means the God of Snow Mountain in Tibetan, and is a holy land for worshiping. Pilgrims from Tibet, Qinghai, Sichuan,and Gansu travel to the mountain at the beginning of each winter to worship. Thousands of devout pilgrims worship together and encircle the holy mountain, adding even more mystery and loftiness to the mountain. 

Early morning get up to see the sunrise at Mt.Meili, then start driving to Zhongdian by passing White horse mountains and Benzilan again. Afternoon visit the Grand Songzhanlin Monastery, which is belong to Yellow school of Tibetan Buddhism and is regarded the little Potala Palace.

After breakfast drive to Lijiang, the World-class Cultural Legacy by UNESCO for its historical remains of building and culture. En route have a chance to see the famous Tiger-leaping Gorges ( Only upper Gorge). The tour will be end once you check in at Lijiang.
