6 Days tour of Chengdu, Leshan, Mt.Emei, Zigong, Dazu and Chongqing

In the morning, pick you up at your hotel and drive to Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center, it takes about half an hour. You will catch pandas' feeding time, they are at their most active, both Adults and Babies. Later watch the film at Panda Museum to know the panda daily life, Baby getting birth, ect.  Afterwards drive back to downtown for lunch. Afternoon visit Jinsha Site Museum, which is located in the northwest of Chengdu, 5KM from downtown. Jinsha Site was discovered in Feb.2001, and it was the most significant archaeological discoery in the 21 century in China. Covering a total area of 300.000 square meters, the Jinsha Site Museum is a place for visitors to closely observe the excavation of archeological spot and a perfect place to learn the glorious Chinese culture of the ancient Shu Kingdom. Late afternoon walk around Jinli ancient streets, you can taste different kinds of snacks there. In the evening enjoy the cultural show - Sichuan Opera at Shufengyayun tea house or Sichuan theater (pay by yourself).

After the breakfast in your hotel, we will leave Chengdu for Leshan Giant Buddha. It is a ride of 2 hours by the expressway, sightseeing the beautiful rural scene of Chuanxi Plain while driving on the way. The rice fields, vegetable greenhouses, grape garden and tea plants are laid out along the expressway. Reach Leshan Giant Buddha at noon, after having lunch we will visit the Giant Buddha Statue. The project was built in China's Tang Dynasty, for the huge quantities, totally, it took 90 years to complete the Buddha Statue. As tall as 71 meters, the Buddha Statue occupies a whole mountain cliff facing the conjuction point of 3 rivers, hence there is a proverb passed down generation by generation that"the Buddha is a mountain and the mountain is a Buddha"; after the Buddha visit, continue driving to Emeishan and stay overnight there.

After breakfast in the hotel, change to the local pollution free sightseeing bus to Leidongping parking lot(2 hours drivering), then walk about 20 minutes to catch the cable car up to Golden Summit . We'll visit the magnificent statue of Samantabhadra (Puxian Bodhisattva), the Golden palace and the Silver palace, the cloud sea etc.Then,leave for Wannian monastery located in the waist of  Mt.emei, after sightseeing in this temple, we'll walk down to Qingying pavilion, a strip skyline, and monkey mountain along the tranquil path hidden in the forest, enjoying the pleasure of the peaceful coexistence of man and monkey. For the tourists who only book our 2 days tour to Leshan Buddha and Emeishan, our trip will end when we drive back to Chengdu. For other visitors who book a longer tour with us, we will stay at Emeishan and continue our tour to other places the next day.

In the morning drive all the way to Zigong(about 3.5hours). In Zigong, you will be arranged to visit the Dinosaur Museum, established in the noted site of dinosaur fossils, Dashanpu, it is about 11 kilometers from the center of Zigong City. Together with the American National Dinosaur Park and the Canadian Dinosaur Park, it is one of the world's three largest dinosaur museums. Then visit Zigong Salt-mining Museum. Zigong has a long-standing civilization as well as rich underground resources in China. The city is also called the 'Salt Capital' in the past because of its salt resources and production. The museum to show how people make salt in traditional way. Overnight at Zigong.

Set off from Zigong in early morning and drive to Dazu, visit Dazu Grottoes in the morning. The Dazu Grottoes spread across more than 75 sites in the county, and contain over 50,000 stone sculptures carved from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The two major sites are Beishan (North Hill) and Baodingshan (Baoding Hill). Afterwards, drive to Chongqing (117km). Overnight at Chongqing.

Visit the People's Congress Hall, a giant traditional building with a large square, where plenty of people do morning and evening exercise everyday. Then visit the General Stilwell Museum, a museum to commemorate General Stilwell during The World War Ⅱ. Move on to visit the Eling Park, where people can have a bird's view of the whole Chongqing city and get a general idea of the Yangtze River. Then visit the Ciqikou Old Town, an old town with traditional Chongqing style buildings, tea houses and Sichuan Opera houses. Get aboard for your Yangtze cruise or fly to other cities for your tour.
