3 Days Huangshan Classical Tour

Our local guide will welcome you at the Arrival Hall of Huangshan Tunxi Airport or Huangshan North Railway Station when you arrive. He/she will hold a sign with your name(s) on it; then the guide and driver will transfer you to the hotel in Huangshan city; after check-in, you can free wander and expore Huangshan city.

Tips of Transportation to Huangshan city: 

• Flights: There are non-stop flights to Huangshan from Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Xian and Chengdu.

• Bullet Train to Huangshan:  The following cities have bullet trains to Huangshan: Shanghai (3.5hrs), Hangzhou(2hrs), Beijing (6.5hrs), and Guangzhou (7hrs).

Today you will spend a day and a night on the Yellow Mountains. It takes about one hour from central Huangshan City(Tunxi town) to reach the foot of the Yellow Mountains. Then take the local park bus to Yungu temple and take the cable car there for a ride to the West Sea Scenic Area featuring marvelous precipitous peaks, beautiful giant pine trees and far-reaching vision. Walk to Begin-to-Believe Peak (1668m) to stretch your eyesight over cloud seas to far distance, and then hike about 40 minutes to Dispelling Cloud Pavilion to look down the Dreamland.

Walk down by the stone steps to the bottom of the canyon while enjoying the rising rock peaks and cliffs, bizarre stones and fortitudinous pine trees growing in the crevice on the cliffs. The whole hiking trip lasts for over three hours, covering the 1st ring, 2nd ring, and bottom of the canyon. If time and strength permit, you can further explore the Flying-over Rock and watch the sunset at Bright Top. It takes about 40 minutes to get from Bright Top back to the hotel, stay overnight in North Sea Hotel on the mountain.

Early get-up and be ready  to enjoy the magnificent Huangshan sunrise. Walk a few minutes from you hotel to Refreshing Terrance which is a good place for the view. Weater permits, you can clearly watch the golden sun light  piercing the mists, and rocky peaks, cloud sea are all painted by the red, golden and orange sun light. After the sunrise, back to your hotel for breakfast.

Continue your enjoyable sightseeing on the Yellow Mountain to see the famous Dawn Pavilion, Stone Monkey Watching the Sea on the Lion Peak (1690m), afterwards, walk along the wood path to the cable station, take a cable car to leave the mountain. Drive from the mountain foot to Huangshan City for lunch.

After lunch,free wandering on the Tunxi Ancient town with 900 years of history  to appreciate authentic old Hui-style architectures. Have an interesting visit to Hu Kaiwen Ink-stick Factory to learn about how ancient Chinese people produce ink sticks (a material for writing and painting in ancient china), finally  the guide and driver will send you to the airport or train staion to catch your flight/train to next destination, tpur ends.
