Michelle Obama to Visit Chengdu

News from gochengdoo.com:
First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama is scheduled to stop in Chengdu for two days as part of a week-long China tour in which she will visit cultural sites and schools.

Chengdu is the last leg of Obama's trip, after Beijing and Xi'an. The first lady is slated to make her first appearance in Chengdu on March 25, at the prestigious No. 7 Middle School, where she will talk with students. Afterward, she will head to the U.S. Consulate to meet with staff there. Her itinerary the following day includes a visit to the panda base.

Obama will be accompanied by her two daughters and her mother on her travels.

While in Beijing, Obama is scheduled to meet with China's first lady, Peng Liyuan, who has gained notoriety as something of a fashion icon--an unprecedented reputation for a Chinese first lady.
